The Man of the House

I am married to the love of my life.  My soul mate.  My other half.  He's the ying to my yang.  He is peanut butter and I'm Jelly.  He's Tom and I'm Jerry.....no, wait a minuite.  Tom and Jerry hate each other.  Forget that one......you get the idea.
We haven't always been so blissfully in love.  We married as mere babes and were clueless about how to "be married".  I envisioned marriage as playing house.  Cooking in a cute apron, where the dishes magically clean themselves.  Vacations where you get your photo made as a couple by a stranger standing in front of the Eiffel Tower.  Bills did not exist in my vision.  And I had never thought about having to compromise.

Thankfully.....oh so thankfully....we stuck it out through the first few bumpy years while we grew up together.  We dug our heels in and committed to making it work.  And now...it totally works.  I would be completely lost without him.

Besides being the love of my life, he is also the perfect Daddy for my boys.  Tucker looks to his Daddy for approval for everything.  My approval won't do.  It has to come from his Daddy.  Sawyer is eager for his Daddy to teach hims all about sports.  He wants to learn more about every single aspect of football and baseball.  Carter still likes to crawl up in his lap and enjoy a good episode of Wipeout or America's Funniest Videos sitting in his recliner with him.  And they all love to play with him.  Play anything with him.  baseball, football, Wii....it doesn't matter.

He is my perfect match.  He is loving.
Affectionate with me.  Affectionate with the boys.  He doesn't fear emotions and isn't afraid to show them.  He is nurturing and caring, when the occasion calls for it.

He is strong.  His arms and chest are yummy.  The strength he has in his upper body have always taken my breath away. He could crush me into smitherines anytime he wanted, but he is gentle and chooses not to.

He is funny.  Hilarious.  We laugh until we hurt at each other's jokes.  Your life partner should always be able to make you laugh. Thankfully, mine can.

He is my adventure partner.  We dream of visiting new places and seeing new things together.
I am thankful he is mine.
