This Week in Retrospect

If I live to be 100 years old, then I have only 3,380 weeks left.  Give or take a few.  This one was a good one. Nothing out of the ordinary happened this week, but nothing has to for it to be a spectacular week.  I hope the other 3000+ will be just as great.

 Even the sun wanted to stay under the covers on Monday.

Conducted parent conferences at our school.

Took a lovely Field trip to the Tennessee Aquarium with Sawyer.

 Carter tried his hand at photography.  He thought this one was great.  I guess focus isn't important to a 6 year old.

 Carter took this one, too of me and my beautiful Granny.

Thrift store shopping. My favorite kind.

The boys could pick ANY restaurant they wanted to eat at.  Taco Bell wins.

I can't imagine how my boys would spend their time without a trampoline.

Yoda costume arrives in the mail.  I practice my fierce moves and best Yoda voice.

We try a new restaurant, Salsa's. We really loved the food.  It's a bit overpriced, though. We probably won't go back.

My favorite moment of the week goes to this one....

This Week in Retrospect

   It's always nice to look back on my week and think about all the little fun moments that fill up my days.  

Junior High Football game lost.

Book finished and enjoyed..

New recipe tried.  Sliders gobbled.

(Bacon, Cheddar, Ranch Sliders...yum!) 

Family Game Played

(Planet Earth DVD game....Carter was my partner.  We lost.)

Social studies lesson taught.

Omeletes cooked by Bradley. Carter helped. 

The dog and cat got on top of the grill?

Harvest Festival parade attended.

Church youth group kick ball game played.

This Week in Retrospect

Looking back over the past week reminded me that life is full of ups and downs.  There are high points that bring smiles and excitement and there are low moments that bring sadness and heartbreak.  This week was filled with both.

Nanny was visited in the hospital.  She whispered she loved me for the last time.

 Nanny is gone.  The family mourned our loss, yet celebrated her life.

Junior High Tigers Pep Rally

 Pumped for the game.

Tucker's team earns a victory.

Carter celebrates a first grade fiesta. 

The boys play trampoline football.  Again and again.

Tank cleaned. New fish bought.

Close game. Auburn wins.

Sliders. A new favorite recipe.  (Thanks, Amanda)

Family reunited.

 

Toys played with.

Chores completed.

We remember.

 And will never forget.
