The rhymes has been translated and retold in several variations. I chose the Snips OF Snails variation instead of Snips AND Snails variation because using the AND doesn't make sense. A "snip" is a piece of something. So, the rhyme is saying that boys are little pieces of snails and puppy dog tails and girls are made of sugar and spice.
